THE CHALLENGES.
• The day the client was introduced to Sedfa.
Client was first on-boarded as Sedfa client in February 2025, following the client’s successful application for small business funding support through Sedfa Asset Assist Support Programme. Assessment of the business was then conducted using Sedfa relevant assessment tool (BIAT) and the following challenges were identified:
1.Lack of Equipment and Tools.
The business lacked equipment and tools of trade required to start operating as an event & catering company and generate revenues for its directors.

1. Access to Funding.
Sedfa, through Sedfa Assist Support Programme, assisted the business with financial support to acquire the much-needed catering and events management equipment to start operating.

OUTCOME/ RESULTS
Following Sedfa’s intervention support, the business was able to:
✓ Start its operation, providing catering and event management
services.
✓ Generate business revenue to the value of R92 300, 00 (as at
the Improvement Assessment date).
✓ Increase number of its employees from 0 (as at the Assessment
date) to 04 (as at the Improvement Assessment date).
Following Sedfa’s intervention support, the business was able to:
✓ Start its operation, providing catering and event management
services.
✓ Generate business revenue to the value of R92 300, 00 (as at
the Improvement Assessment date).
