Intervention Details:
Kwa Dikela was referred to SEDFA in March 2025 through the Cooperative
Development Support Programme (CDSP) / Asset Assist Program. Following
SEDFA’s assessment and advisory support, the cooperative received approval for
funding assistance aimed at strengthening its productive capacity and long-term
sustainability.
SEDFA provided not only financial support but also guidance on financial recordkeeping, cost management, and opportunities for diversification

Financial Growth: Revenue increased from R26 450.00 in March 2025 to
R39 750.00 in August 2025, while net profit rose from R7 150.00 to R8 669.00
in the same period.
o Job Creation: The cooperative created five (5) additional jobs, contributing
to local employment and community upliftment.
o Operational Sustainability: Improved financial tracking and SEDFA’s
advisory services have enhanced the cooperative’s ability to manage costs
effectively.
o Future Outlook: With SEDFA’s support, Kwa Dikela plans to expand its herd,
reduce reliance on purchased feed, and explore value-added opportunities
such as wool shearing and direct meat supply.
